Sue's thoughts on Flickr

OK, I did spend time here on Saturday. I was a bit perplexed, honestly, on how Flickr could help us. BTW: I find that I get sucked into social media of any kind once I'm there ... so 23 things takes me a lot longer than most, I'm sure!!

1. Creativity. Flickr can help us with brainstorming and creativity. For instance, I searched by "Chinese New Year" and saw a lot of picks that honestly got me thinking about K's new website. This photo is a good example of that.
2. PR strategy. We could upload pics of RMD to help share the love with the rest of the world. A good strategy, Jess, for our PR plan for 2009.
3. Mash. I couldn't locate a "Mash" thing-a-ma-job. Can someone tell me what that is?
4. Contests. Here's the best idea I have. What if we target Flickr-ers who take pics of their own recipes, and suggest a contest? Make your own dish, and the best tasting picture wins? Interested in your thoughts.

Flickr for RMD?

Hi Team,
I've checked out Flickr and it seems to be a lot like any other social media site, but with a focus on photos. I'm not sure of all the social media sites Flickr would be the best, I hear the least about it...maybe in the future one day we could put photos or ads up that we have done and/or are proud of. It seems like if we posted photos of ourselves (Wagons Ho, Ho, Ho for example) or our work, we may get a few bites, but I think our time and energy would be better placed in a more popular location...like FaceBook.

Blogs are totally in right now

I should start my own blog. Because that's the 'it' thing to do right now. Have blogs I mean.

Catholic Guilt

I'd like to thank Kari for her diligence in the task of getting RMDers to participate in 23 Things. We aren't typically slackers, but for some reason we have been. I personally have had much "Catholic Guilt" over my slacking. I'm so glad to have FINALLY completed my Week One participation...I think it may really have taken 23 Weeks. So again, thank you Kari for your persistence...I'll now go pray the rosary.

How exciting!

I went to the site per Kari's email - http://plcmcl2-things.blogspot.com/#23 - the podcast did work. Did I click on the wrong podcast? Let me know team ... Anyways, I'm ready to rumble. Are you? dpd
